GETTING STARTED

 

IS MY PERSONAL INFORMATION KEPT PRIVATE?

The information you provide when you sign up to Play Active programs, such as your name, address, height and weight, etc is private and only Janie and her team have access to this information. We do not use your photos, emails or social content or personal information without your prior consent. The Play Active website is private and secure and we take the utmost care in ensuring your privacy and information is protected. We use a PCI compliant third payment gateway system Stripe so that none of your payment details are retained on our website.

DOES JANIE DO ONE ON ONE COACHING?

Yes Janie does do face to face and one on one online training but there are limited spots as numbers are capped due to availability. Janie will be providing you with loads of training and nutritional tips throughout your program. She will also be keeping a close eye out on social media for your updates, so be sure to tag her as she would love to see your progress and cheer you on.

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS ARE AVAILABLE?

We accept credit card payments (Visa or Mastercard) through our secure third party payment gateway Stripe & Apple Pay.

ARE THERE DIFFERENT FITNESS LEVELS TO JANIES PROGRAMS OR IS IT FOR ALL FITNESS LEVELS?

All programs are personalised for your own individual needs, they can be made for all fitness levels. Each program increases in difficulty and intensity throughout the period of time to constantly challenge your body.

I’M A NEW TO FITNESS, WILL THIS BE TOO HARD FOR ME?

If you are new and are a beginner and have access to a gym programs are personalised to what level of fitness you are at or you can select any of Janie's Play Active programs to get you Started. If you don’t have access to gym equipment then we recommend you choose Janie's Beginner At Home Program.

WILL I NEED TO BUY FITNESS EQUIPMENT?

If you are completing the At Home Beginner Training Program or doing the at home training program for the challenge we recommend getting  some moderately weighted dumbbells or Kettle Bells, booty band a long thin band and a Swiss ball at a minimum, you can also use things like 10L water containers which is 10kg in weight if weights are hard to find as a alternative.

DO I NEED TO JOIN A GYM TO DO PLAY ACTIVE CHALLENGE OR PROGRAMS?

You do not need to join a gym for the at Home Training Program, but all other Fitness Programs and challenges you will need access to a gym unless specified.

HOW WILL I RECEIVE THE WORKOUTS?

You will receive the workouts in digital format using Play Active True Coach online training App, which an email link will be sent to you to fill all your relevant information in the App and you will receive access to your to your program by downloading the True Coach app, your workouts will be sent to you daily, being notified by the Play Active True Coach App.

HOW DO I STAY MOTIVATED, HELP?

Play Active Facebook community / forum is where Janie will be motivating and communicating with everyone, helping you stay accountable to your goals, sharing inspirational tips, food ideas, how to stay focused and achieve your goals and have fun doing it with the support of others doing the challenge. We are there for you, we know you can do this and we are there for you every step of the way.

I’M NOT LOSING WEIGHT, WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

Everyone has a completely different genetic make up and will loose weight and adapt to the program at different rates, we don’t have control over when it decides to lose weight or where it loses it from but if you’re following the exercise and macro/calorie target your body is definitely changing. Your photos are most important for this reason to track your progress, you may not feel the changes initially but you will definitely see them in the first few weeks of starting your new program. Remember muscle weighs more than fat and when building muscle the scale is not always the best indication of fat loss, if your measurements are reducing but the scale is staying the same that means you have built muscle the fat loss will come in time when you are eating the correct macro nutrient target and being consistent with the plan which is personalised for you only.

I HAVE DONE MY WORK AND I WANT TO DO MORE, WHAT CAN I DO?

Your training program is designed for best results so trust the program that is set, it is made for progressive overload, to build muscle and lose body fat, make sure you are working hard enough in the session, lifting as heavy as you can for eg. 10-12 reps being heavy enough to be just pushing out the last two reps, with the correct breaks between sets, this intensity should be enough for the length of the program. Make sure you have also completed 10,000 steps per day. 

CAN I DO TWO TRAINING SESSIONS IN ONE DAY?

More is not always better, so we don’t recommend you double up your training sessions. Programs are designed so that you have adequate recovery and a correct program split throughout the week including rest days. This is important for your progression and achieving your goals. However, we understand that with busy schedules you may need to change things around, if this is the case please contact us at support@play-active.com.au and we’ll be happy to help.

 IS STRETCHING IMPORTANT AND SHOULD I DO IT?

Stretching is so important to prevent injury and DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness). We encourage you to warmup and cooldown with each training session, this includes a good 5 minute stretch at the beginning and end of every session.

I’M FINDING A PARTICULAR EXERCISE HARD TO DO, IS THERE AN ALTERNATIVE?

If you are new to training some exercises can be difficult if you are not used to them, please let us know if you unable to do an exercise after giving it a try first, all exercises in your program have been customised to your current fitness level and experience so you should be able to complete each exercise and be challenged in the correct way. Please contact us if you are struggling and an alternative exercise will be given support@playactive.com.

 I DON’T HAVE TIME TO DO ALL THE TRAINING SESSIONS?

When you decide and commit to a program or a plan you know it requires some of you time, if you have a goal and you prioritise that goal then it will become apart of your lifestyle and your daily habits having a positive impact on your life. We understand life can be busy, but if you make this priority you will make time, you see results. If for unforeseen circumstances arrises please contact support@playactive.com.au

I’M A MALE, CAN I DO THE CHALLENGE OR THE PROGRAMS?

Play Active Challenge and Programs have been designed for everyone from anywhere in the world, men and women, so jump in guys, would love to have you join the team.

CAN I CHOOSE WHEN I WANT TO START MY PROGRAM OR CHALLENGE?

A program you can start at any time once you purchase and have access to the app your program has started. 

Challenges will start on the challenge start date and will go for the duration of 8 weeks so you will have to secure your spot by purchasing the challenge.

HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY MACRO / CALORIE TARGET? 

Once we receive all your stats required to work out your personalised target you will receive a email and PDF explaining how flexible dieting works and how to track your food.

I CAN’T ACCESS MY PROGRAM?

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PROGRAM?

Within a few hours of placing your order or purchasing the challenge or program you will receive a welcome email with a few pre-program tasks to complete, you will be asked to fill out a pre exercise questionnaire to provide further information about your training history, nutrition, and preferences so I can personalise your plan for you. You will then receive an email link to Play Active True Coach that will give you access to your program, your program will start as soon as you access the app. You will also receive an email link to the closed Play Active Facebook community group, which will be used to motivate and support each other through the challenge or your program. If you don’t receive your program within 24 hours of completing your additional information around preferences, please check your other folders (spam, promotion, etc). If you are still unable to find your program, please email Janie at support@playactive.com.au with your order details.
